FAQs

What do you write about?

My journalism focuses on the intersect between health and everyday life. I have written about sex, relationships, chronic pain, health and wellness and representation of disability. If you are looking for copywriting that relates to any of the above topics, as well as general lifestyle and interiors, I am your person. In previous lives I have worked for interior designers, market research centres and life coaches, a somewhat jack of a few trades.

Can you write my newsletter / blog for me?

Yes! that is exactly what I would like to do, email me to schedule an introductory meeting, we can talk tone of voice, SEO optimisation and your goals for your business.

If you’re sick, how can you work as a writer?

Ah, the old, ‘I must be sad and sitting at home because I am disabled’, A tired stereotype you aren’t entirely to blame for, the media has really pushed a single narrative of disability for as long as I can remember. Although disability and chronic illness take up large amounts of my time, and are something I write about often, they are not all I am. I adapt my schedule to suit my needs, and manage my time efficiently to ensure that the people I am working with, are not negatively affected my changing health.

Do you have a degree in anything related to writing?

In short, no. I studied Education at undergraduate (and planned to be a teacher), and am completing my masters in Education and Public Policy. However, I learnt to write succinctly, research and reference properly through my studies, and those skills all contribute to my writing.

What’s your favourite book?

Hard to choose but I have the title of Ocean Vuong’s novel, On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous, tattooed on my arm, so I must like that one a lot.
